We are pioneers in Artificial Insemination in cattle in Argentina. The name Cerrate has been associated with Artificial Insemination and frozen semen since the 50's.
When cryopreservation techniques were still in the experimental stage, our father, Victor Cerrate, graduated from the National University of La Plata as a Veterinarian. While he was taking his first steps in Estancia Chica (a model establishment at that time), his passion for Artificial Insemination led him to get his PhD in the field and dedicate his life to animal breeding.
As Artificial Insemination with frozen semen became more popular and the Argentine dairy grew, our father opened new laboratories in the farms interested in incorporating this technique.
In 1982 he founded the Centro de Inseminación Artificial La Peruana (CIALP), where he centralized the activities that had been developed for decades.
As of 20XX the Insemination Center operates under our management. We are Hugo and Ernesto Cerrate and we continue with our father's legacy through CIALP SRL.
We continue to follow the evolution of bovine reproduction. We adapt to the demands of the market and our customers. And today we are proud to receive the highest TPI bulls in Latin America.
